Biographical Sketch

Yael Blay completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology and Biology at the University of Haifa. Yael is a M.A student of Clinical Psychology. Yael's current interest of focus is the therapeutic role of mindfulness in trauma recovery and mental health among forcibly displaced people including refugees and asylum seekers. Her M.A. thesis research is focused on the impact of Covid-19 on the mental health of asylum seekers. Yael is also working on a lab project testing a mobile web-based mindfulness- and compassion-based intervention program for refugees and asylum seekers struggling with pre-existing and Covid-19-related stress.
