Elijah is currently working in the Observing Minds Lab, at the University Haifa, Israel, as an undergraduate student of Psychology, on An Adaptive Mobile Mindfulness-Based Intervention for African Asylum-Seekers. Previously Elijah was invited to Masaryk University, Czechia, on Erasmus+ mobility program to research the effects of mindfulness and breath techniques on vagal nerve activity, and how this influences the immune systems for post covid rehabilitation.

Elijah’s main research interests are understanding how contemplative mind-body practices such as Buddhist meditation, Pranayama (breath work), and Kriya yoga can be used as a form of therapy to improve an individual’s mental health and wellbeing.

Elijah has been to multiple trainings worldwide, receiving Yoga Teacher certification from Sattva Yoga Academy, India, and has practiced with hundreds of students since.
